Thanks, Melissa! This was great. I have always admired your so regular writing practice. So you are shooting for 4 total 1/2 sessions each morning total for the day? Or is that just getting started? (As far as time intervals I do something similar with pomodoros.) I like the idea of making the morning writing a sacred distraction free zone! Thanks, Raphael

Hi, Raphael! I am indeed shooting for four 1/2-hour sessions of writing, using the Pomodoro method and rewarding myself with short breaks. I've made it a habit, but it helps to have to write a new book of nature-themed essays on a tight deadline! What does your writing process look like? Cheers! --Melissa

Hey Melissa! I’ve been trying to grow a more regular writing practice. This month I joined a weekly 1 hr Zoom writer accountability group—quick check-in at the top, silent writing, then quick results share at the end. I’m also hosting daily sessions the rest of the week. No one ever shows up! But just knowing they might—and having to open the space—keeps me there writing! Thank you for the continued inspiration and for your generous spirit making so many of us better writers.
